Could anyone identify this part and explain it's purpose? Its a threaded pipe out of the bottom of each intake manifold. Its part # 11. I also attach a picture of the rear manifold clearly showing this threaded pipe. I temporarily capped it with a hose. It accumulates fuel. Could the two be connected with a fuel line or should they be capped? I have no idea what should be connected to it.

This is emissions stuff. You can cap them each with a fitting from Ace Hardware or connect them together and they will act as a balance tube between the 2 manifolds for smoother running.

+1
steve and me, and others, we have those manifolds connected together through those ports, and they worked better that the capped version

Thanks

Thank you to all three of you. The thread link MMercury provided was of tremendous help. As others did, I also found the idling to be smoother after capping them temporarily. I will try to connect them next. Stevehose's info on the size of the thread ( 3/8-10mm) made the search for the cap much easier. Thanks again.
