Converting to Euro style and with the high price of scrap metal wondered if bumpers were worth more to junkman than me.Are they aluminum or some kind of steel?(Bumpers are straight but have scratches)

They are certainly not aluminium!
Very easy to rechrome, which means brass or steel.
I will ask my rechromer tomorrow, as I need to talk to him anyway.

74 US bumpers definitely ARE aluminum, and fairly heavy so a scrap dealer might find them valuable. Considering every bumper conversion I have any knowledge of is FROM the aluminum to Euro style chromed steel the switch makes sense to me. US 74's are fugly, perhaps even mo fugly. For anyone interested, I have one and one only set of Euro bumpers for the conversion left for sale. Check website at www.coupeguy.com.
