The colour is Polaris silver, the car was resprayed possibly in the last 10 years, however the engine bay and underside the engine hood is still the original paint.
In contrast the original colour is softer in colour appearance the new paint very bright and probably two pack with a clear laquer.
The original looks far better and in keeping with the period, I plan to respray the car and would far prefer the original look. Does anyone know what this would have been and is it possible to replicate as paint technology and H&S seems to keep changing...
I would also need to fit new tricolour stripes - does anyone know whether an original set - make that two sets as a friend may also be looking.
A year or so back someone managed to obtain an old set found in a US dealership - could there be further sets stateside - how could one find out?
