I also have a set of 7jx14" ET10 BBS on stock (maybe for sale)
and also a set of 7jx14 Alpina´s - but they are lookalike´s, but were never mounted !

Lets see now! There was the original Bmw 14" 5 spoke rim set that came on the 72 CS which I bought in 1988. The MSW 15" 20 spoke Alpina copies which I bought new back in 1990 and which is on my CSi at the moment. A set of Etoile 3 piece 16" 7 and 8" gold centers staggers which came with my present CSi I bought in 2002. And finally, my prized 16" Alpina staggers, mounted with Bridgestone S03 tires which I bought back in 2002 and had them professional refurbished in 2003. The Alpinas and tires have not been mounted on a car ever. Eventually the Alpinas will be riding on my coupe. A few weeks back, I was tempted to buy a used set of 16" BBS RS 3 piece staggered rims but decided against it at the last minute.

My favourites are the Wolfraces and the ATS

@Orangener: I´ve never seen the ATS Star in 14inch 5x120. Though they are very popular with the beetle crowd.

A pitty they are only 6 inches wide. I think the 7x14 format with ET10-11 best suits the E9 and the E3.

Hi Tierfreund!

That was the reason, i drove the Ats only for 2 weeks, in 6" the dont look good, 7-8" is the best size for the E9.

But they were cheap, i payed on Ebay only 55 Euros for the set, a little paint and polishing and i sold them for 150 Euros 2 months later....

A friend told me, that those ATS were also produced in 7jx14", but they absolutely rare, and he i knows someone who has a set of those.

Agree - beautiful

And he has at least a 3 car garage (drool) - maybe even more - I can't tell from photo. And it doesn't even rain where he lives!

I've been debating an upgrade to either 15x7's or 16x7's, in the BMW Type 5 basketweave pattern, like those in the photo Orangener pulled from eBay.

What differences in ride quality and handling do you guys with the bigger rims and lower aspect ratio tires experience? I'm wondering if the step to 16 in. might be too harsh for my old suspension.
