OK, I'll start. For years, I have been driving around with a spare Riken 7 X 15 wearing a195/60R15 Michelin MXV tire. Car used to run these in the early '80s, just before I purchased the car. Fit nicely inside the spare tire well under the trunk floor. Currently, the other 4 wheels wear Continental ProContact 205/65R15. I was certain these tires would not fit into that spare wheel well, so I procrastinated. Recently, planning on a drive outside my usual driving limits,( i.e. where I could just call Hagerty to take me home if I had a tire issue), I decided to find out if indeed the 205/65 could fit. Turns out it cannot. But....with some carpentry skills, I could remove some of the wood edging that fits the underside of the trunk floor that mates up with the floor cover over the fuel tank, this wheel and tire combo will just fit! Happy. Now I have a suitable spare if I need it. Feel fortunate that I was able to locate the very same tire as the other 4, before the model was deleted and had to purchase an all new set of 5! BTDT!

that would be correct - only a 195 width tire or thinner will fit. very curious what the CSL guys do with their 205/70-14's (Michelin XWX) on Alpinas.
