Saw this wheel on ebay today and looked closely at the E9 cockpit picture. Looks like the owner has switched out his driver's and passenger window switches with a toggle ejection seat switch and something else. Also, looks like a classic meerschaum pipe lying there, a la Mad Hatter.

If it's a US 2800CS, those aren't switches, just blanks. Front windows are almost always manual on US 2800CS's.

I had a '71 and '72 US spec 2800, both automatic, that had all four windows powered. Wonder if only the stick versions has manual cranks? Not being argumentative, just wondering. My '72 3.0 is all powered.

As for the guy whose car is being discussed, maybe he is on this board and can answer!!

My March 1970 production date 2800CS has all windows powered.
Have owned it since 1983, so not an update.

eletric front windows were always available as an option--not so with rears as they cannot be reached from drivers seat--German logic.

Many came with manual--many came with all electric as Hoffman wanted to deliver loaded cars to the US market--added to his bottom line--sound familiar?
