Hello to all.

I may just need some encouragement but never the less, I am in the process of restoring my coupe. Thinking of dumping the project completely for the reason of not giving it the attention it deserves. I am at the paint stage and have fixed all the major rust problems. Just dont want it to sit any longer.

I do know that some have faced this before. So what to do, spend the 35k and finish it "paint, turbomotor, and polish".

Have collected numerous parts to finish just dont see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe a trip to Car and Coffee would fix this but who knows.

Any positive advice would be helpful this is a great site and I do consider myself fortunate to have friends in this community. You all have been very helpful and I would like to express my sincere thanks.

Well I want to the first to put dibs on the bumpers before others pipe in if parting out is in your future.Unless yours is a 74 which I already have a set :(.So posting pictures of what stage this is in would give us a better idea on the task in front of you. With a 35k restore price you may be better off buying one that you can drive today and use the parts you have to make it better?
Good Luck.

Talk over coffee?

Hi Daniel,

It looks like you and I are roughly at the same stage: I had all the rust taken care of at the end of last year and just had the car re-painted. It's now patiently awaiting for me to put it back together... I don't lack motivation and am anxious to get it on the road again, just don't have a lot of free time.

I'd be glad to share my motivation with you over a cup of coffee. I'm also in SD (Del Mar/CV). Send me a PM if you're interested.
