Hi All,
I am repainting the Alpina style 7x14 wheels and have them back to bare metal. Does anyone have the colour code for the silver? Many thanks in advance.

Did you chemically strip (what did you use?), or blast (what medium?) Thanks. we can't wait to see your results. Before pictures would be great/current state they are in...

Some searching:
Mercedes #744 brillantsilver is reported to be a good match.

Polaris (original bmw silver of e9 exterior) seems to be a match as well.

Thanks Dave & Eric,
Yes, we soda blasted the wheels and they look great. Time to paint them now. I would have thought Polaris would have been the colour, but I'll do further research now that I have a direction to go in.

I believe it's Polaris silver. In the recoat, I'd stay away from powdercoat. It's to thick and hard to touch up.

Are your Alpinas original 5-hole wheels? What date code?

I've used Polaris mixed into a spray can from AutomotiveTouchup.com and also their clear coat applied lightly. You'll need 2 cans of paint and 1 clear. For the black centers I used satin clear.

Thanks very much for all the replies. I'm going to run with Polaris and semi-gloss black for the centres. I wholly agree with the comments about PC. It's just the wrong process for wheels for a bunch of reasons. The wheels were stripped using a gentle soda blasting method and they came up very well.

How close is Wurth silver wheel paint? I used this on my FPS wheels and it matched nicely, went on nicely. Then 2 coats of 2k clear gloss. Center was satin 2k black.

I've used Wurth also - silver and clear - all good. The old scholl choice for stock FPS was Krylon Dull Aluminum which looks good but you can't clear coat it because it will....dull.

Thanks all for your comments. We had them soda blasted and they came up beautifully clean and undamaged. We will be painting them Polaris. Thanks again for the assistance.
