Hello,

I have a set of Alpina style wheels and am looking for some clarification. I have communicated with a few people and received a few different opinions. They are the 14x7 20 spoke wheels with the additional holes between the lug holes. They appear consistent with the wheels being sold by Walloth and Nesch. However, these are NOT marker Ronal, Alpina, or FPS. They only carry numbers on the black portion of the centers. I would be happy to retrieve the numbers if needed. My research and another e9coupe.com member both feel that these may be the BMW option wheel offered. I want to offer these for sale at some point, but I did not want to misrepresent them. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Paul

I agree, those have significantly more "lip" than the later stock turbines. They are the same size and offset as CSL rims...if you like 14's (and I do) these are as good as they get.

I'm kinda stumped by your desire to represent them correctly. I would describe them as CSL sized Alpina style 14x7 rims and let the buyer worry about the details. You're thinking with a really accurate description you could ask a higher price?

They could be Vials, a 14x7 Alpina copy, nit sure if they are period or not.

However I don't see the Vial name, could have been ground off and painted over in some sort of 'Tom Foolery'.

Vials are a not well known Alpina copy that are often forgotten. Very pleased with mine and were a fraction of the real McCoy cost.

Thanks for the reply. My desire is always to represent things accurately. And my concern with these was actually not to ask more than they are worth. I find it frustrating when items are misrepresented or advertised at an unrealistically high sale price. I would love it if these were authentic Alpinas, but I doubt it. I am hoping someone would have seen these before and recognize them.
