Wheels Across the Pond Car Show with David Hobbs

One of the biggest car shows in South Florida-over 300 cars- had David Hobbs signing his book and presenting the Best of Show award.
The show started 15 years ago as just British cars,but now has all of the cars made in Europe.
Here are a few pics of the event. The Classic BMW class awards went to 2 Isetta parked next to me. "They are so cute!!" That was the way the popular voting went.
The Best of Show went to a 1954 Sunbeam Alpine--a very nice automobile.

An Isetta won over your car ??? What time do they start serving alcohol to the judges at that show?

All the 3000 (so they said) spectators had a sheet to vote for their favorite car in each class. Who doesn't like an Isetta with a wind-up key on the trunk and cartoon eyes on the front door?
And the other one had the wicker picnic basket on the trunk.
It was a fun time on a very hot, sunny day. Talking cars with many different owners of everything from V-Dub Sambas to vintage Jags made the day pass nicely.

My E23 came in second to one of BMW Pete's Coupe's (before the car was mine though....)

I think they took pity on an old (but nice) 7-series... LOL
