Just sent away my wheels for refurb and im not sure what i have is correct.....

This is the spare - Has PFS and a small bmw rondle and 7J x 14 H2 stamped on it - and has 5 nut holes - plus 5 other holes ( they were filled with silicone)

The ones on the car (4no) have just the 5 bolt holes- and unless is its covered by thick paint - do not have any stampings on them??

Any ideas .....
Marc

Just been to see the wheels part way and they have some very slight stamping -

The second set of pix looks like correct CSL to me
The stampings definitely fade

Look correct to me. I’m not sure if the old wheels just had a very shallow casting, or if the wheels were refinished at some point. My logos and text are worn down to a nub. I’ve seen some five hole versions where text stands proud.

Edit: Sorry pictures are so huge but you get the idea...

Mine are 07/72. This is one of my better ones. Repainting the centers satin should help a bit.

Thanks for the feed back

So the 4 i have are correct - as the car is a 72 - but the spare is wrong as its for a car 1974.... i dont think it will matter as the 74 is a spare .

Thanks again to all

One other thing to note since you started taping yours. The black paint is supposed to overlap the wheel face by about 1/8”. If you look at your unfinished wheel pic, you can see the line under the silver paint in your alpina wheel.

Agreed that the spare doesn’t matter. If you are bent on getting an alpina single wheels come up now and then. There was one on ebay kleinanzeigen for the last two months but I’m not seeing it today.
