It’s a small metal/rubber bushing for the rear cam cover plate gasket, but can’t find it’s hole or any pics. Several vendors don’t include this with the gasket, but mine apparently did.

that little thing is essential, if you look at my thread on the new engine you will see the place
“my new m30b30 engine” is the name of the thread
you will need the embeded fix for photobucket and use chrome of firefox
you will see clearly that there is only one bolt that needs it, check the gasket, it seems a bird, well the beak opening is a place for a bolt, so if you do not place this little thing oil will come out
the bushing is a seal you need to place it out of the cover

It goes at the 3:00 position on the outside of the cam plate.
