Will a '74 VW Beetle fuel pump work in a BMW 3.0CS?

I just stumbled across this mechanical fuel pump for a VW that in the picture looks a lot like the pump on my '72 3.0CS, except for the price (low):

Does anyone know if this would work on the E9?

Don't risk it, contact to pump rod may not be compatible, hose needs to be 8mm as well. New pumps aren't that expensive.

Yeah, I agree it seems a long shot. Even if it fit the e9 motor, the e9 is a six cylinder engine, with dual carbs, and the Beetle is a 4-banger.
