Will Bavaria e3 switch work on e9?

The connector is the same square white Molex, nine-pin connector with only 8 pins used. The Bavaria part number is 61 31 1 355 284 which is not found in the e9 parts books. I'm still hoping it might be better than what I have now which is nothing. Sometimes just the length of the wiring harness is a little different...
 
Yes, Chris. I can't be sure I have the right part number, but the last 7 digits are cast into the housing of the e3 switch. Looking at another e9 switch I have, I see that it's last 7 digits also aren't found in the parts books. I wonder what that number is then... Maybe just a casting number that happens to use the same series of numbers...
 
the e3 switch ends in 285 in RealOEM. I would check wire colors between the two although you probably don't have them to compare.
