So I took the window motor out a me removed the motor, then I removed the actual smaller gear box. However, now I want to remove the actual plastic gear piece,(because its stripped and damaged) but it doesn't want to budge. Any ideas?

The plastic piece In the center of the gear box is what I'm trying to remove.

I've got a friend who will replicate the plastic cog for me if I can remove it first!

The gear was pressed on to the small gear on the other side by probably some very large piece of hydraulic equipment. I don't see how it can come off without ruining it. It would have to be drilled or pressed back out. If you figure out how to repair these we all would be grateful!

Yes, I believe that is correct. I just had mine out but I can't find any pictures of the backside/drive cog side. Seems like I put the whole worm drive/plastic cog assembly into the wash tank.

Do you have a picture of the drive cog side?

After looking at my pictures, I suspect you could use a light amount of heat from a propane torch (fine point flame like for glass bending) to heat the area between the outer cog and the center shaft. Then use a punch to drive the shaft out of the cog spline. Get it all set up first in a vise and have a helper. I count at least four hands required.

I tried to have an overseas guru repair one of these with little success.
I made the pilgrimage, paid my respects, put up with his ego, waited a week, and in the end the unit did not spin freely.

Hope your guru is better than mine.

With that gearbox removed from the window cassette. Put the gearbox on top of a vise so the small metal gear is not clamped but close to it. With a nail set or punch, pound out the splined rod and small gear. That's how I removed mine.

To reinstall the nylon gear, I pressed it back in with the vise, then used a small copper pipe and hammer to get it the rest of the way.
