does anybody know the difference between a pump for a 2800cs (61661350154) and a 3.0cs (61671359116)? the 3.0cs part is still available and the 2800cs part is NLA.

If you have the square reservoir they must be the same. I would think they are the same anyway though.
thanks Chris, kind of what i was guessing ... perhaps a different manufacturer so they changed the part number. cool, then i'm in good shape. i do have a brand new square reservoir + cap.

Dratted pump is seldom used in my coupe, and the little brass impeller gets corroded and stuck to the plate at the bottom, then no workie. I have four or five spare pumps and when it's time for my yearly safety check (without which I can't renew registration), I swap until I find one that works.
Last time, the pump ran but no water...? The hose was kinked under the reservoir. Thanks Murphy for tossing me an easy one.
