has anyone attempted to install the windshield with out the help of a windshield pro?

How much harder is it than for a 2002 or e21?
The 2002 windshield is much flatter and the trim strip is soft and inserted after the window is in the body, much easier.
I have watched many YouTube videos, and plan to tackle this myself (with one or two helpers on hand). I feel this is a DIY level project. I wouldn't take on a contemporary windshield set in a bed of sealant, but the rope method seems pretty forgiving and repeatable if you don't get it to bite the first go. Yes, I will report back one day when I do this successfully (or share why I need to rescind today's comment).
