Wiper arm questions

I'm working on 2800CS -69 wiper arm system.
Going to clean it and fix any loose joints.

First I need to take it apart without breaking anything....:-D

Has anyone disassenbled the first and second joint after wipermotor?

First joint. Looks like plastic cap? Don't wanna break it while trying to remove it wrong way...


Second join, looks also plastic.

those are plastic yes

in my experience you can not remove them from the metal part, what you can do is to remove them from the articulated ball that belongs to the other part

the best way is to use two flat screwdrivers placing them between the two metal parts, one placed at three and the other at nine, you just place the one at nine and keep it there while gently turn the other screwdriver until the cap pops out

it is very easy

I thought that it was just a plastic cap but it goes thru the arm.
