I'm trying to sort of the wiring plug connections at the screenwiper motor. THe plug had been replaced by the previous owner and I had the motor out during the course of interior restoration this past winter.
I have the blue books and have also searched for threads on the subject and think I have the wiring correct, but now have a question.
The two green wires w/red tracer coming into the wiper motor have constant power (with ignition switch in "on" position). This doesn't seem right and makes me think the switch or relay is faulty. when I plug the connector into the motor with ignition "on" the wiper motor runs (even without turning on the wiper motor switch).
First of all, it would be helpful to know what the correct numbers for the pin connections on the pigtail harness (e.g. position 53s, 53, 53b etc.) so that i KNOW that I have the connections correct. But know I'm doubting the relay and switch.
The switch and motor had worked before i had it all apart. I don't want to start chasing down bad relays & switches if I simply incorrectly wired the pigtail connector. Like I said, I have the wiring diagram from the blue book, so I'm not completely in the dark.
Anyone out there have a suggestion? I'd like to start again with the correct pin position & wire connections, then maybe move on to looking at a bad siwtch or relay if possible.
