Wipper blinker switch

Who can help?
I have an E9 from 1974 LHD with a direction switch and wiper switch on the right hand side of my stearingweel.
Most of the E9 has a switch on the left side of the weel.
What is original and if it is original when did it change ?

All E9s up through 1973 had this stalk, wiper and turn signal on the right. For the 74 models the turn signal moved to the left side like all other car makers.

Thanks for the quick answer, the car papers are dated 5 April 1974 so it could be a model from 1973 or build in 1973.

Get the actual build date from BMW. What switch do you have on the shift surround next to the driver, wiper speed or other?

The switch next to driver seat is a pull wipper switch.

Yes, up through 73 only. Yours is a 73 with wiper speed on the shift platform. Send an e-mail to:
