Hi all, I am a bit of a lurker here but longtime BMW guy (2002 race car, e30 m3 racer, 2002 with s14 etc). I am the lucky owner of Doug Churchill's car (DECOUPE) on this forum. I will take some time to do a proper intro but right now I am stuck on the side of the road with a curious issue.

I was driving the car today in all it's glory when the wipers started working without being on. Eventually the car went dead. While on the side of the road with very basic tools (screwdriver etc) I have found a fuse (on an accessory panel) which has blown and feeds the fuse that manages the wipers. I have disconnected the wiper motor and it prevents the fuse from blowing so I am pretty certain that there is an internal fault in the wiper motor.

However when tracing wires I now have 2 wires that I am assuming have been disconnected from the back of the original fuse block. I am on my phone and having trouble locating the function and fuse location of these. My assumption is that they are from location (fuse 9 or 10). Can one of the guru's help so I can continue my drive? TIA

Note that black sheathed female spade connectors go the top of the fuse box

air conditioning car?

Take a look at this video and see if you can find your wire. Do you have AC?

Green/brown can be fuse 8 to AC temp switch

Ok- note that your connectors sheaths are clear so they do NOT go on the top row.

When you say you found a fuse on an "accessory panel", do you mean you have a fuse panel in addition to the fuse panel to the left of the steering column? I had thought our cars only came with one fuse panel.

Yes it was an accessory panel that was added.

The fuse in question fed the #6 on the factory panel which serves the wiper and signals. All good, car is home now.

Thanks to all the help.
