Wire replacement of electric sunroof

A plastic piece has broken off the forward attachment point of the sunroof. The part is on the end of the wire (with the "bullet" at the other end.
I have the new wires (with the mechanisms at respective end).
How do I replace them?
 
It would depend whether the sunroof motor is in the front or in the back under the headliner. From what I recall it's a lot easier if it's the front.
 
As the wide zipper is at the rear, I presume that´s where the motor is.
Same sardine motor as the early window motors, I believe.
BUT, can the long wires be inserted from above, after removing the polished alu cover plates? And then inserted into the gearbox which is probably attached to the motor.
If anybody has a simple explanation, I would be most grateful.

Based on your description ( zipper), your sunroof motor is under the roof lining- open the zipper. The answer to your question is yes, but difficult. The cable will need to go trough a "tube" which can also be seen when you open the zipper. Good luck
