Wiring question

Since we've been talking about the working diagrams, can someone tell me what the 2 wires coming out of the side of my ignition tumbler are for?
One is disconnected...

Both wires? They go to 2 separate plugs

I'm curious if those wire would prevent my car from starting. I put a new tumbler in but it doesnt have the wires. I can take it all apart and try to swap over the module from my old tumbler, but that would be a lot

They may have been for a key buzzer. You know leave your key in the ignition and it buzzes.

It isn’t an interlock like today’s cars, just sends a signal to activate the buzzer and light up the sign on top of the dash.
