I wanted to drive my coupe today but as I started her up, my wife noticed a racket from under the hood.

Closer inspection revealed that the fan blades are hitting something, either the radiator or one of the lower belt pulleys.

I turned off the engine and manually moved the fan/ It seems loose. Is this something I can tighten?

I hope I don't need to pull the radiator for this....

The viscious coupling could be beginning to fail, if the bolts holding the fan to the coupling are ok....
If the pulley moves as well it could be the water pump bearings going
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

The other possibility is you may have a couple of badly deteriorated motor mounts which will cause the engine to move forward under braking.
If the bad mounts are not replaced, eventually the repeated cycle of the motor moving forward will cause the fan to hit the radiator.
