I found this wrench. Does anyone know what type this is for?

not e3 or e9. BMW started adding their name in the 80's. It looks to be short version, so perhaps motorcycle. I've never seen the bend - it may be a previous owner modification.

Offset wrench is typically used to adjust drum brakes.

The overall shape is a bit different, but the head style reminds me of the wrenches I used to have for adjusting the valves on my Mercedes diesel (OM617).
Just a thought....

It is indeed a 2002 wrench for adjusting rear brake shoes, hence the bend. Pretty easy to find these.

All 2002s had these.

E12s (large tool kit was optional on series 1 E12s in the US) and E21s had them as well as did early E28s. The small tool trays were molded to take the bent 17/19.

If the bend is an "added feature" to a plain wrench, then E30. Motorcycle as well.

I never knew of any other tool sets having one except for the 2002 tool roll.
