WTB 1974 E9 door weatherstripping

The weatherstripping around my doors needs replacing? My BMW dealer tells me they are no available??

I believe the part numbers are:
> door weatherstrip

• 517-167-54-282 left
• 517-167-54-283 right

> door rear gasket

• 512-167-40180 left
• 512-167-40181 right

Appreciate any assistance sourcing these!

BMW and other aftermarket sources have been out of stock for some time. There are some strings where others have used more generic parts from Steele Rubber or even used parts from a BMW X5 (see second link below) that were supposed to be a close fit.

You may find some other details in a search of various strings:

E9 Door seals

I require the door seals to suit an 1974 3.0CSi E9 51716754282 x 1 51716754283 x 1 Even I could the shaped ends, I can make up the rest. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you. Sean

Door seals

What are the best sources for complete door seals? I'm missing parts on the driver's side,and the passenger side is not is great shape either.

There are 3 individual pieces to the door seal. Do you need all 3 or only the bottom piece and the connector piece?

I have a set of new vertical door end pieces- 320.00 delivered
