I realize it's a long shot but I am looking for a 1974-dated cylinder head. Must be straight and undamaged, condition is otherwise not important as it would be gone through anyway.

The CSL guys are mad for the early heads. I could sell 1/2 dozen today for 1500.00 each.
Good luck to you.
There is a 74 carbed head in sac and a 76 si head there too.

I still kick myself for not buying a backup '72 head on eBay a coupe years ago and am still on the lookout for one. I think the early heads were more often than not torpedoed by the original crappy friction fan clutch and to a lesser extent the 2 core radiator. With the upgraded fan, clutch, and 3 core radiator there is no overheating in any situation in my steamy climate.

Actually (and perhaps this is even more of a long shot) I'd be happy with a '73 block and head. Really just need the castings but a complete motor is fine too. Must be injected though. Thanks guys!
