Shocks and struts shot on my car. Any help appreciated.
Yes was trying to avoid that but may have to go that wayDanny, if you have a worn out set, have you talked to Bilstein about reconditioning them? they used to do revalve work, etc.
Al I sent you a PM Its an early race car from 1970 No coil overs but Im sure Alpina prepared specific gassing specs for the race cars through BilsteinYou still have not added any details or photos….if a race car does it have coil over rears like most? Are they adjustable valving….? Are you using standard front housings or something custom/shortened?
I have over 100 Bilsteins in stock and also have some of the inventory from the east coast AlpIna Importer but without any other info other than “AlpIna” and ”Race Car” maybe you should try the folks over in one of the Facebook Groups…
Also twice people have suggested just getting your pieces rebuilt, which would keep you from buying something that did not actually fit your “AlpIna Race Car”
Thanks

I do but they have been rusting away for 52 yearscongrats if you have an original Alpina race car from that early...a very rare thing......I think coil-overs were not really in use until 1971=2 nor were small diameter springs. And Bilstein were not using adjustable dampers until the E36 Super Touring era.... so it would have had fairly basic suspension on it in period......but nothing relating to street car parts.....how come you don`t have the original parts to rebuild or copy ?
