Started working on bumper and noticed something odd, the 2 longitudinal supports seem to be the same rather than mirror images, seems likely that someone used the wrong one for one of them
The very end has an angle and it clearly should be a mirror, mine go the same direction

Question, how can I tell which one is the correct right or left?

Would someone have a set to sell? Or just one if I can figure out which one I need

Car is 1972, part numbers are: 51111810526 and 51111810525

Bit hard to say without a picture but I think these are actually the same. It sounds to me like one has just been installed the wrong way around.

Trying to be helpful. These things are really quite rudimentary and could be easily made from scratch by any competent body/chassis fabricator. If the bumper is held in position the shape and size of the brackets will be obvious.

Or, it can be done the way Benny did it for Scott’s car, which seemed needlessly complex.

Maybe this adverts pics will help showing which is which.....

The first photo shows more or less the orientation as installed in the car, the second photo shows what would be a side view in the car
You can see that the very forward flange as a distinct angle to vertical
Both of these go the same direction, (not quite the same angle), so they are they are the same, not mirror image pars
With these 2, one or the other isn't fit to the car correctly

Ignore that it says 'right hand', not sure if that is correct
