Looking for a " Automatic" emblem that fits underneath the 2800 cs emblem on the right rear of my 1971 coupe. The PO had long converted the coupe to a 4 speed, but the three holes are still present, and it bugs me. I'd rather have the misnomer of "Automatic " emblem on my 4 speed coupe. ( I realize that the "Automatic" emblems on most coupes are on the left side of the trunk, but mines was on the vertical area below the 2800 cs emblem). Will measure the distance between the holes later. Thanks

I have one > Free...

I just used it to let the air out of some tires last night- I knew there must be better use for it.

Email your mailing address from the PM area and I'll mail it to you via USPS.

Thanks- Richard

I still have the Automatic badge on my swapped 2800CS. I'd pull it, but the holes would also drive me nuts.

If I fill them, I'd have to paint the area. If I paint the area, it won't blend well, so a full respray would be in order.

If I respray it, I'm more likely than not going to pull all of the glass out.

If I pull all of the glass out, I'm pulling the drivetrain too, because I'm in deep, and I might as well change it from Sahara to a color that I really like.

If I pull the drivetrain, I'm going to swap a B30B35 in it, and have Don build it up with some power.

If I put that engine in, I'll need suspension, and brakes.

So lets see. $20k for a great paint job. $8k or so for the engine swap. Call the brakes and suspension $5k.

Now I haven't tackled the brightwork, or any rust.

Man...that's one expensive Automatic badge my Coupe has on it.

Brendan,

No wonder your femur hurts ! I totally get the logic of the old domino effect.
I keep my wallet in my front right pocket ( ever since traveling to Europe as a teenager on a family vacation trying to avoid the pickpockets), and after reading your scenario, my femurs hurts too, because that's where my wallet is resting. LOL, EJ

Haha EJ, that sounds about right. Every time I think about the emblem my wallet runs and hides in my closet.

Nah, put three red LEDs and wire them as a brake light.
