The bracket itself is OK, however, I rounded out the square hole that holds the bolt. Unless anybody has a suggestion as to how to secure the square carrage bolt to the now round hole?

Don't believe this is a big problem. A cheap fix maybe just inserting toothed lock washers on both sides of the mounting bolt. Believe this method ought to give enough friction to stop the bolt from turning, thus enabling it to be tightened.

but first you need a complete threaded new bolt plus a nut to hold it to the mentioned overrider
