I just helped polaris68 with this, I think it is the e12 cap:

It is about 66mm and mounts from the backside of the wheel.

I think the confusion I have is the method of attachment. The cheap plastic Alpina center caps that came with my wheel snap in to the wheel from the outside, so I have been looking for 68 mm wide caps. If the oem caps install from rear, I guess they would be smaller diameter, so looksl like those are easier to find, I will just try E12 caps and see what happens.

final follow up for any other's with same issue, got exactly what I needed at Mesa, brand new, reasonable price, fast delivery.
