WTB e3 Sunroof Motor

Does anyone have or know where to find an e3 sunroof motor? The parts Bavaria here was a manual one - so no luck there. Or does anyone know which motor may fit from a later car?

Hi; Give me a week before you purchase one. I have a friend who things he may have one. Do you need the transmission for the motor also?

Sure thing, I'm going to pull the panel to redo the seal in the next week or so. It stopped working after sitting outside, switch is a good one, relay is good, fuse is good. It worked then it just stopped. I assumed the tray filled with water and it got wet.

Perhaps there's another inline relay? My heater blower fan works, aren't they on the same circuit?

Mine was sticking a bit - the motor was working fine, but the gearbox wasn't moving very well. I used my cordless drill to "loosen" things up. I also found a mesh gear in better shape then my original and swapped that out. I believe early E12 motors and gearboxes were the same 76' and 77'.

I have the motor and gear box from a Bavaria. The cable is toast but they seem to be still available.
