Looking to buy chrome wing grills for my 3.0 CS. Any help would be appreciated.

I just checked the ECSTuning site and it doesn't look like they have any.

Lesson-learned: buy as much stuff new NOW while they are available as it may be NEVER when they are reproduced (by BMW or other)!

I bought the hood/wing (fender) grilles chrome a year ago knowing this will happen. Problem is though sometimes, the stuff still available DOES NOT FIT (e.g. c-pillar emblems).

NLA ... i also checked with W+N, and they don't have any. i think we will soon have to try to have some rechromed, if i remember correctly, the original chrome pieces were metal + not plastic. you should try to find a set of metal ones if you are in need. the only other option is to buy a set of black ones (which are plastic) and have them chromed. i recognize that it is not easy to find somebody to chrome plastic ... but it can be done.

if you have chrome fender / hood grilles - i would buy whatever you can get NOW.

I'm in the same boat. Black fender grilles on my black car just don't work for me. I'm looking into finding someone who can chrome plate the plastic ones I have. I've struck out locally, but am still looking...

Isn't there that new process that can "paint" chrome on?
I have seen the sprayed on results. It is not the same as plated chrome, but it looks pretty good. Might be an option as other options diminish...

Alsa wants $200 for a can of the spray. My concern is spending that on the spray, if it doesn't work well are the parts still usable, or do I then have to buy new black ones? Something about good money after bad... I think I'll check with Artcraft; at least that way there's a company standing behind the end result.

Tried the Alsa product on several different pieces, followed the instructions to a T and got very different results. Have plenty left of someone else wants to try it.

So has anybody tried having their old ones stripped and rechromed by artcraft plating? just curious ... seems like the best way to go to me.

I have used them for interior parts and they do good work, but they did not recommend their process for exterior use.
