WTB- E9 Hood Torsion Bar

Went to open the hood and the torsion bar exploded on the driver side. Maybe this can be welded back up but the tube itself seems to be pretty weak on that end, looks like a common failure point. Do I try to weld or source a good used one ? If you have a good used torsion bar let me know prefer to go that route and maybe weld this one up as a spare.

A common failure. Indeed the tube often breaks at the weld.
Either use another one, or reweld the arms to a thicker tube.
Replacement tube dimensions are in a DIY thread on this topic in the DIY section of the forum.

Don't ditch the usable parts (arms, springs, mounting blocks) as they 'll be getting scarce.
