WTB firewall insulation

Hi Folks,

Hoping someone has firewall insulation for an e9 top and bottom. Way expensive from BMW

Please let me know if anyone just happens to have a set laying around

How is the fit and quality of this piece? I am wondering about using the oem original piece or getting something new after refurbishing and painting my engine bay.

Hi Peter,
You might try opening the web page in Chrome, and allow the browser to translate the page for you. I have mine set to do that automatically and it comes through very legibly.

I have this piece, out of an E3. It is in excellent shape. Not sure of difference with Coupe, perhaps someone knows. Mike

the part here

doesn't really have the complex shape of the original
I am going to try and make one by laminating 2 pieces of foam
If anyone knows a good source of the 'quilted' aluminum I would appreciate it
Also on my car the aluminum was painted black, don't know if it came that way
