WTB: Hood Torsion Rod

I'm referring to the spring-loaded rod assembly that holds the hood open. I am in the DC area and will drive to pick one up, but I'd also pay for shipping if the price is right.

did you try whale M6? he is on this forum ... he has a lot of stuff from a few cars. as i remember, he is in NC

They aren't that expensive new (Maximillian has the whole assembly for $155, and individual torsion springs for $17/ea). A used one is likely to have lost its spring tension and/or have cracks where the arms join the tube.
