On your old switch, what is the orientation of the round locating pin to the tab for the tiny screw?
For reference call pin on posted picture at 9 o'clock and tab at 12 o'clock. The other style switch has the pin closer to 7 o'clock.
If you remove a switch with no pin, then likely the first type has been "adapted" to function. Not really sure if doing that reduces the lifespan of the switch by allowing more movement/not holding switch as tightly in position and putting load on screw.
