Finally got Tach calibrated to Emtron controller with a third party interface. In the interim a "Button" part # 62-12-8-580-176 was misplaced/lost. Looked it up in RealOEM and that appears to be the name and part number. It is the finger tightened nut that goes on the post behind holding the instruments in place. Tiny part but the tach won't sit flush without this nut. There is also a washer that is spec Gasket Ring part # 07-11-9-963-016.
Any help appreciated, Jon

The look of This part reminds me more of the odometer reset, are you sure?
The 2 nuts that hold the cluster in are small 6 or 7 mm dudes.

Thomas76,
Relatively sure that's why I included an explanation. If you look at the realoem site for instruments it looks similar to the nut and is positioned to look like it attaches to something. The odometer reset is much more complicated than the "Button".
Thanks for responding. I think somebody must have a spare one of these sitting in the bottom of their tool box.
Regards, Jon

Jon, i am looking at the orange book and 580176 is indeed the knob button for the trip odometer reset cable. i think you are looking for #6 on 62/1 - 07119922036 ... which is really a M5 hex nut ... that is bigger to allow hand tightening without a wrench. it locks the tabs of the instruments to the mounting studs (2 per instrument). the orange book also says there is a B5 spring washer for these nuts. i probably have a couple of these nuts - i will check tomorrow.

Thanks Thomas76 and Scott for figuring out the correct part #. Scott you seem to have 1 of everything stashed away and I appreciate all the help. I'm getting close to posting pictures of my project as I'm now on now the road and tearing up the tarmac in Sonoma County.
Regards, Jon

Scott,
That's the one. I think it's a 7mm nut. Thanks once again. I need to supply you with something out of my parts stash so let me know if there's a part you are on the lookout for. Send me a DM when you figure out what that is.
Regards, Jon
