I've got an old worn in shifter handle that I'm planning to use on my restoration, and it seems like a new leather boot wouldn't look as good as a worn in one. Anybody have one that's still soft enough to reclaim?

Redo it with SEM or equivalent?
My leather has shrunk to the point of no return, I've tried bathing in lanolin based conditioner but no luck.
Hoping to purchase a used one here before resorting to new.
