the 2800cs part is NLA ... but you can still buy the one for the 3.0cs - the downside is that the tailpipe number is also different as i believe it has a different diameter. the 2800cs pipe is 55 mm and i think the 3.0cs pipe is 60mm. i could be wrong on that

Indeed, tailpipe is 55mm for 2800 and 60mm for 3 liter. I expect ( not sure) that therefore also the diameter of connection at the end of the last muffler to the end pipe should be different (55/60 mm)
Dan - getbmwparts.com wants 400 bucks for the rear muffler and i would imagine that the tailpipe is another 75 to 100 bucks. BMW only sells the 55mm tip, so it makes me wonder if the current one is 55mm or 60mm. you will find that if the new tailpipe is 60 mm, you will need to source the Porsche early 911 - 60mm chrome tailpipe tip

I have aNOS 55 mm tailpipe made by Ansa OEM replacement back in the day if anyone needs one

BTW, the PS hose made it to Vintage and back. It only leaks when it isn't under pressure.
