I need to repair the driver side bolster with the original tan ("peanut butter") perforated leather. Anyone have or know anyone that has redone their seats and may have pieces lying around.

Thanks

Michael

Thanks for the referral.

All my seats other than the driver seat are in fair to good condition. I was planning on recovering both front seats but cannot find any supplier with the original tan perforated leather.

That is why I am asking if anyone has their old skins that were removed when they recovered their seats. That way I can just repair what is ripped on the driver-seat bolster.

Thanks

Sample

Dascoupeguy,

I have an old sample book from XKSS which became World Upholstery that shows the perforated (pigskin?) leather for the E9. It's the only sample that has this pattern, all the rest are more traditional textures. I'm also in need of enough material to do the seats of my car but so far none of the local sources I've checked with know where to get it.

If you have found a source for hides that match the saddle from BMW can you let us know.

guys, this isn't perforated ... its embossed. significant difference. perforations are done on a regular pattern and completely penetrate the leather.

Tan leather

Bez, I will have most of the original tan leather from my 72. I have asked the shop to keep all the old stuff. It is the OEM original leather (pigskin?). Again how much will u need? There should be enough for repairs. DCG
