Mine is very good, but a new one is great!
new ones have become expensive - right after i bought my last pair (for the car i didn't get) i noticed that vintage autobahn had them for a much more affordable price,. after @Boonies posted, i looked at the VA website and they are sold out. the current prices from discounted dealers is 200+ bucks each. if you are in the market for new, watch the VA site ,,, when they get more, the price might match others though. not sure if there's are BMW or repops.
the downside of buying a new one is - you will shortly buy a new one for the drivers side.
I remember them available as repops for 2002's (same mirror, I believe..) a while back and were less money, but most folks thought they were very good...was under the impression that the new ones were NLA. Might also check with Steve Petersen at Bluntech in MN.
you can buy them from getbmwparts and w+n. trap mirrors are only available as repops, but BMW is still making the flags ... look on realoem for the part number for the e21 mirror.
