Hi all, I'd like a strut tower brace for my coupe. I think it will give me some extra peace of mind when pushing it in the twisties. I see that there have been some beautiful adjustable ones made in the past and I'm wondering if anybody has one sitting around. Googling them, Ireland lists theirs a sold out. Some site called Top End Performance is selling them but the picture is small and not reassuring.

While I'm asking, I am also looking for some gold BBS RS wheels, or other gold/polished mesh wheel set in the standard 16x7 et11 size.

I didn't know they offered one but looks pretty good to me... interesting they say it works on injected cars too. Its a very tight fit on injected cars and they are usually designed specifically for D-jet vs Carb'd cars.

Assuming this is for the 2800 it should work well IMO.

@E911 yes after looking more closely, my car has a weber conversion and the stock air box sits very close to the firewall. It looks like there are some different adapters that I could run for the carbs to return to the stock air box location? Or I could just get some smaller individual air cleaners for the carbs and make room for the strut bar.

@Bmachine I assume by WN you mean Walloth Nesch? Their site lists no products under strut bars for the E9. Also, shipping from overseas is complicated to impossible right now. This is one reason I'm wondering if anybody has one to sell.

EDIT: Actually, I found a separate section for the E9 on WN and it looks like they have aluminum and steel versions. That still doesn't fix the tariff shipping issue...

there is the one that @daddywad makes - a repro of the Alpina brace. not inexpensive but it is out of the way and looks good.
Yes that is the one I was referring to when I talked about the beautiful adjustable ones. I was secretly hoping somebody here would have one to sell - or maybe @daddywad would make me another? But the group buys for those were over a decade ago.

@daddywad still makes / sells them. there have been others that are similar - one was made by somebody in Germany, perhaps @Orangener but i think that was a one-time deal ... that's the one that i have. but IMHO, your best bet is to buy the one from daddywad ... i see that @Keshav has posted his flyer. buy with confidence from him - great stuff

Walloth is $303.00 USD + 15% tariff + 3% currency exchange + 20 euros shipping

Figure about $380.00 dollars

BUT!!!! No-one is shipping to USA this week!

I have 2 on the shelf from Walloth that are extras- never installed. How about 250.00 shipped?

LMK

I was looking at the Alpina-replica one that @Keshav posted. But that will have the same issues of tariffs and shipping. And @sfdon, $250 is a tempting deal. Is that the steel or alloy one? I'll give it some thought and get back to you in a day or two?

shipping one to Boonies.

Just got home last night and I leave next week until October
The shop closes shipping when I am gone.

I am flying out on Sunday now.
Shipping from shop is closed as of tomorrow until mid October.

OK I'll take your last stock @sfdon - I'll PM you - Thank you for being willing to sell within the US and ship these out before your trip!

The Daddywad one is gorgeous, but would cost me between $830 and $1000 depending on whether the gvt decides to apply the 25% UK tariff or the 50% aluminum tariff. That's too much for me right now since the function should be about the same.

the aluminum tariff is only for bulk aluminum, not manufactured aluminum ... that would only be the std. UK tariff (still not insignificant), especially considering the current exchange rate
