for the gasket that goes around the taillight lens frame, you can use the rubber refrigerator gasked that Stevehose used which is a little wider than original ... or you can buy it from W+N - https://www.wallothnesch.com/en/rub...right-side-you-need-2-for-1-car-63-08-00.html
the piece from W+N is under 7 euro each ... but unless you are ordering a lot of stuff (or combining with other coupe people in the USA) the shipping will kill you.

if i remember correctly, the W+N piece is 4mm x 10mm and is a gray sponge rubber.

I don't know how I missed the item on W&N.
I have ordered a lot of stuff from W&N and it usually gets here within 7-8 days . They charged a flat rate of 49euros !! They don't charge the VAT for us customers ....
But it is also good to know I have other options.
In middle of resurrection of a 71 2800cs and I have another one waiting once I feel conformable we can handle the it...
This forum has been amazing so far...
I am sure I will meet several of you in the future.

if you have a lot of stuff to buy from W+N, you can save significant money even with the shipping, compared to discounted pricing from BMW NA dealers. i bought a new toolbox, mirrors, the window stop (rubber tipped machine screws) and a few other things ... and the pain of the 49 euro shipping disappeared quickly ... i think i saved that just on the toolbox price.
