Hi,

Does anyone here have an E3/E9 triple weber kit for sale? Serious buyer here... Thank you :-)

Triple Webers, manifolds, linkage

I have a used set of triple Webers, manifolds and linkage. I removed them from a CS a few years ago for a Motronic 1.3 conversion. If you're still looking for triples,
I can snap a few pics of the setup, can't remember if they are 40s' or 45s'. My instinct says 45s'.

Thanks, krauser

Triple DCOE sets come up on Ebay occasionally, but caveat emptor.

If you get them off EBay or used, just plan on a rebuild to include the butterfly shaft bearings. There are a several nuances about old Webers that can make them almost impossible to tune without a rebuild. If you can spring for new, it is some piece of mind.

As long as the housings are in tact, they can be rebuilt as needed which is what I did. My shaft bearings were fine but I went through everything else. All the parts are available. Jetting for your engine takes some time (and an AFR gauge).

Depends on what you are after, vintage Italian ones made in Bologna that may need sorting or newer Spanish or other country origin ones with mixed QC reputation. I like popping the hood and seeing the Italian plumbing so I went that way.

Either way they sound amazing when the throtle plates are opened up in the rev range and always put a grin on my face when I hear "that sound."

What ever you decide, check the manifold design to see if you will have to alter the thermostat housing for clearance for carb #1. Some will, some won't require it.
