I have a new trunk seal on my car, but it is too large to allow the trunk to close easily and pushes up on the lid way too much. Looking for an OEM style smaller trunk seal like WN sells but maybe a little more local.

two possibilities,
if you have an original trunk seal, might the chance be of an incorrect assembly ? how many mm is it off too much ?
if you do not have an original trunk seal maybe you can cut it ?

Third possibility: Its not original and cannot be cut. It is an aftermarket bulb type seal that simply is too large of a bulb. Problem with buying what was thought to be OEM.

Not sure, it was on the car when I bought it. Older receipt shows Korman did the work, but doesn't specify where the seal came from.

Not that it’s so relevant if you’re searching for a local alternative, but I have the W&N trunk seal.
I’ve been fighting it for like a year now, I’ve tried glue, stretching, glued some more after cleaning the seal with acetone to get rid of the grease-like coat it has, had the trunk lid shut (and real tight downward) for 6 months with the seal in place. But no, it simply wont stay on the edges, it has to be a little bit too short.
It stays on if I only have the lid open for a minute, but any longer than that and one corner will slip of the small edge holding the seal.

Irritating.

Mine has to be aftermarket. Paul Cain came by in his really nice 2800 and his is way smaller diameter than mine and new. I purchased one from the same supplier so we will see what comes in.
