WTB vented carb tops

Hi Mike,

If I can't find vented tops ,may be interested in what you have, same as what I have now. I guess , it will always come down to price. Funny , awhile ago, there was a bunch of these floating around that nobody wants, now that I want one, harder to find.

OK. Also have this set. But these look the same as the ones above.

I have three carbs that I was keeping for use 'just in case' for my Coupe - but now that I am switching gears.... I am not needing them any longer.
I don't know if they are vented or not or anything else about them.
I can look tomorrow if those are of interest.... Just let me know. Would be good for them to get used and not sit in my shop in a box...

i have said many times that vented tops are not needed, my car works and performs very good and never had vented tops, same as many carbs that i have overhauled for others
it seems that vented tops are an emissions thing, and maybe oriented to specific markets that were screwing bmw with this to reduce their market share or other protectionist reasons

the thing is that they come together with a modification on the upper carb body and a specific gasket, so if you want to go back to normal setup you need to change a couple of other things, be aware

if you insist in vented tops, you can easily make them, you will only need a T shaped metal tube piece, like the ones that plumbers use, and you can modify the non vented piece, drill a hole and fix the T there
