WTB: VGS one-piece manifold for M30 and Webers

i wonder nobody talks about torque with the Webers.... when we installed them , we went from 300 NM ( oem injection) to 240 NM! ( HP was the same , 210 )
With long inlet tubes and airbox we got that 300 NM back. So it may sound great , but torque loss is pitty.

I’m guessing because most people are upgrading from downdrafts. You “downgraded” from injection.

An number of motorcycles have variable (aka moving) velocity stack lengths to help with the torq/hp curve. BMW employs similar concepts inside their air boxes with flaps.

i wouldn't underestimate torque wise "downdrafts" Markos, those are also on long intake runners.

Porsche also had a model with moving intake trumpets .
 
Hi Shanon -- I got the repro Alfa Romeo air horns from a company called Corsa Velocita. I like them a lot, but I have had two minor issues with them. First, the outer rim of the horns is so large that they hit one another if you install them straight out from the throats. If you look closely at my picture I have each horn angled just a little. The other issue I have had is that I've lost two of the air cleaners while driving. The filter element goes all the way out to the edge of the plastic frame that goes over the lip of the horn, and is compressed between the frame and the edge of the horn when you try to install it. Sometimes they snap into place and you know you have it, other times it is not as clear that it is properly seated. I recommend buying a pair of spares if you go this route.
