Hi guys,

I don’t know what this is called. But like most things on my car, I’ve got one good one and another that had stripped out so the PO epoxied it to the wiper arm.

Are these available or does anybody have a decent one?

Then again, I am assuming it is a sleeve- perhaps it is supposed to be permanently part of the shaft that exits to the top of the car.

Either way, I’m in need.

Here’s a photo of my good one:

Thanks guys-

Sadly it is only part of the wiper mechanism. Having said that I have taken an arm to pieces to re-use the blade driver Shafts.

Forgive my memory but I saw a post on using a new one from a Volvo or Mercedes. I cannot recall where but it does exist.

Thanks guys. Well, I found one similar looking unit on the internet so I bought it. If it doesn't fit I'll just get the tools out and try to make adjustments- add set-screw, etc.

Thanks!

The rotation pins can be taken apart, you can seperate the knurled section from the spindle with a bearing puller.

There was indeed a picture posted by someone of a brass replacement part (from a Volvo?), but if I remember well that did not work out. I also remember someone later posting about a Porsche part, which did work.
Let us know if you do find a fitting part.

Sorry I couldn’t reply earlier. The volvo units were very close but don’t quite fit.

@JetDexter, you can source these from an e3 also. Just the part you need though.

2002s as well.

Bob Platz drilled his wiper arm & the splined cylinder into the mechanism post. Tapped it & screwed the wiper on. He lost 1 too many wiper arms from failed wiper spring clips.
